Commercial strategy
Clarifying the market, proposition, priorities and route to sustainable revenue.
I’m George Blandford—founder of YourTradePal, business owner, investor and growth partner.
Meet the business owner behind the partnership—and hear why trade businesses deserve more than disconnected marketing services, vague reports and suppliers working in isolation.
For more than 15 years, I’ve been building, scaling, investing in and advising businesses.
My career began in digital marketing, where I developed one of the UK’s established specialist search agencies and worked with businesses across a wide range of industries.
That gave me a deep understanding of websites, search, paid acquisition, content, digital PR and online authority. Running and investing in companies taught me the more important lesson: activity means very little unless it creates commercial progress.
Alongside the businesses I have founded, I work with selected companies as a fractional commercial and growth partner. In some cases, I invest time, experience, resources or capital in return for equity.
That changes the question from “What marketing can we sell?” to “What will make this business stronger and more valuable?”
Clarifying the market, proposition, priorities and route to sustainable revenue.
Improving how opportunities are handled, followed up and converted into profitable work.
Connecting visibility, demand generation and measurement into one joined-up operation.
Building the people, processes and technology required to scale beyond the next campaign.
REAL BUSINESS. REAL RESPONSIBILITY.My involvement with The Custom Door Company gave me direct experience of growing a local home-improvement business. It wasn’t a theoretical client exercise. I became commercially involved and helped build the systems needed to generate opportunities and support sustainable growth.
The business owner was being asked to coordinate websites, advertising, SEO, social media and sales while also running the company. YourTradePal was built to join that picture together.
Visibility only matters when it contributes to valuable enquiries, sales and sustainable margin.
Sometimes the constraint is conversion, capacity, positioning, follow-up or the wrong type of work.
A good plan must consider delivery capacity, people, cash flow and the operational reality behind the target.
Five disconnected suppliers do not create a strategy. Business owners need joined-up responsibility.

I’ve trained and spoken to business owners and marketing professionals internationally.
Teaching forces you to understand a subject properly. It isn’t enough to repeat fashionable ideas—you need to explain why something works, how it applies in the real world and what to do when it doesn’t.
I’m also a husband and father. That matters because an owner-led company is rarely just a financial asset.
It supports a family, creates jobs and represents years of personal risk. When things go well, it can create enormous freedom. When they don’t, that pressure follows the owner home.
I understand the weight of being responsible for salaries, customers, commitments and the people who depend on you. My role is to bring experience, structure and an honest outside perspective—while never forgetting that it is your business and your future.
One that understands the pressure.
One that looks beyond individual marketing channels.
One that gives honest commercial advice.
And one that takes responsibility for helping turn ambition into measurable progress.
YourTradePal brings together commercial strategy, Planning Intelligence™, digital marketing, sales conversion, technology and dedicated growth management—under one accountable partnership.
